World of Warcraft 7.2 Transmogrification Sets Feature Preview
While not the most conventional form of player progression, the Transmogrification system in World of Warcraft is a beloved tool by the community, allowing players to change the appearance of their gear with another, giving rise to a horde of cool and unusual player-made outfit combinations. With the upcoming WoW patch 7.2 the Transmogrification system will be getting an update that promises to make armor collection much easier to keep track of.
The new Transmogrification Sets feature will allow players to browse their gear by specific sets, making collecting tier set appearances and other armor-sets much easier. Each of these sets display their full appearance on the player’s character, as well as listing their drop location (such as a World Boss drop, a dungeon, raid, or currency vendor).
The Transmogrification vendor will also have a new Sets tab which will display all of your collected sets. You can simply click on the set you want and it will apply the set appearance to your character without the need to select each item to create a set. This update will most likely save a fair amount of time for the player’s who merely want to keep their armour’s appearance to a set with sentimental value, or create a group with matching colours.
The previously existing armour Transmogrification requirements will still be in effect, such as :
- The character must be able to equip the items.
- Items must share the same armor type (examples: Plate for plate, cloth for cloth).
- Weapons must be the same weapon type (exceptions: guns, crossbows, or bows.
To coincide with this addition, new achievements will be added such as “That’s So Last Milliennium” for completing the tier 19 set from the Nighthold raid instance. This will give any fashion-conscious player a bevvy of new content to work with, as well as give a good idea of how many set’s are left to collect for their collection.
