Top 5 New Features Coming In Battle for Azeroth
With a glut of new information about the upcoming World of Warcraft expansion : Battle for Azeroth, it can get easy to lose track of what’s soon to come. Here’s a top 5 list of our favourite new features coming soon!
5. New Continents
All WoW expansions bring great new place to explore, and it seems like B4A is no exception. Wether you’re a hunter of the old and forgotten as you head to the ancestral homeland of the Troll people in Zandalar or venture to one of the most infamous kingdoms of the human race in Kul`tiras, There is a little bit of everything for someone. A noteworthy design choice is how each factions starting continent fits their iconography. The Alliance head to a euro-fantasy kingdom to spread unity in the face of agression, while the Horde face down savage threats in an inhospital environment, sand and blood abound.
With the large focus on dungeons and raids in WoW’s history, avid player vs player enthusiasts can feel slightly left out. Battle for Azeroth solves this with bran new pvp content, the most interesting of which is Warfronts. Part old Alterac Valley, part RealTime Strategy game, Warfronts bring an extra dimension to slaughtering the enemy faction. With plenty reasons to put an end to the Horde/Alliance, a new way to do it is always appreciated.
3. The Return of Jaina Proudmoore
Not really a “feature” per se, Jaina Proudmoore making a re-appearence is worth cheering for all on it’s own. Leaving Legion early after once again denouncing the Horde, Jaina has been off the radar for some time. With her mother being a queen and an important person for the Alliance questing story, Jaina’s role in this new war is all but assured. With the Blizzcon panel assuring us that she’s conflicted, not crazy (or a dreadlord) we have the potential for a deep character piece. Will she ever return to the peace-bringer she once was? Highly unlikely….
2. Island Plundering
Scenarios were a major part of the Mists of Pandaria expansion, providing easy story based content for players who wanted a simple experience, the promise of scenario-like island experiences has a lot f potential. With word of randomised environments, weekly rotations, and a new way to power up your character, it’ll never be easier to sail the Great Sea!
1. Allied Subraces
Thats right, allied subraces is our No.1 choice. If not just for the amazing subraces unveiled (With word that unannounced ones may come in the future), Allied Subraces bring the dawn of big changes to World of Warcraft. The potential is now there that any race with large enough fan appreciation could join either one or both of the two factions, without requiring too large of a investment. Yaungol Tauren? Maghar Orcs? Or perhaps even Vrykul!? The skies the limit!
