How to Prepare for Winter Veil
With the holiday season in full swing, it won’t be long until the event of Winter Veil arrives to World of Wacraft. Starting December 16, Winter Veil brings festive treats such as Egg nog, cozy fires, and giant yeti ready to ruin your day.
For the player who likes to take it slow and easy, this event brings a return of holiday vendors to Orgrimmar and Ironforge. Head to the Smokyweed Pastures treats seller to get your hands on cookies, fizzy cider, and perhaps the most important delight : Graccu’s mince meat fruitcake! Colored wrapped paper will also be available to wrap up any special gifts that you might want to send to someone special you know in game.
Those who like to work for their winter will find that a certain yeti with a heart three sizes too small has stolen presents, and even kidnapped Metzen the reindeer! Take down the yeti, and claim your daily Smokywood Pastures reward box, with a chance of it containing several wards such as enchantment illusions, and even a miniature tree dagger. 5 daily quests are also obtainable at the garrison on Dreanor, which is made much easier by the difference in power from Warlords of Draenor.
For those dungeon runners, select bosses will dress up festively, wearing adorable santa hats. Every time you beat one of these bosses, you have a chance to snag their hat for your own. Make sure to work with Tailors to get the full outfit though.
And don’t forget the most important part of Winter Veil , the gifts! Make sure to log in after the 25th of december to grab your gifts from under the Winter Veil tree, each one containing an exlusive present, with a new one added every year. Whether it’s a remote control tank, or the gaudiest of sweaters, noone will be left out of this holiday celebration.
