Heroes of the Storm: 2.0 Launch & 20 Free Heroes!
If you’re an avid player of Heroes of the Storm or even keep up with it casually, you’ve surely heard about the celebration and upcoming launch of HotS 2.0! We now know the official launch date, which is set for April 25th, 2017!
Leading up to the launch and hype surrounding the update we’ve received a new hero – Cassia, the Amazon Warmatron inspired by Diablo 2 – and the reveal of Overwatch’s Genji making his way to the Nexus soon along with the new Hanamura Battleground map, with him. Another new Hero is to be revealed on April 25th with the launch of the 2.0 update, along with the plethora of other changes hitting the Nexus.
But if the excitement over all the new changes weren’t enough, Blizzard has upped the ante and is giving everyone 20 Heroes for free! That is right. Twenty. Free. Heroes.
A news update on the official HotS 2.0 website today revealed the introducing of Mega Hero Bundles coming with the update. These Bundles include 20 Heroes and are divided into Assassin, Flex, Support & Specialists, and finally Tanks & Bruisers. Some overlap does occur between the bundles because some characters do have the capability of fitting more than one role in the Nexus. However, as of the launch day on April 25th, each player will be given enough of the new Gems currency to buy one of these bundles!
The website linked above even comes with a quiz for new players to help them decide which bundle to get before entering and challenging others in the Nexus! To take the quiz or to check out the official lists of which Heroes are contained in which bundles, check out the Mega Hero Bundles page.
Are you hyped for HotS 2.0? What is your favorite feature? What bundle are you thinking of getting? Let us know in the comments and check back here on QueueTimes for Heroes of the Storm news and updates!
