Forge Your Path League of Legends Preview
The upcoming change to the rune system for League of legends can easily leave you a tad confused about how your collection of runes will be altered in the Pre-season patch. Thankfully Riot has posted a handy guide explaining how it will all go down!
We’re combining runes and masteries into a single, streamlined system that you can use to adapt and customize your playstyle in champ select. Runes Reforged concentrates your pre-game power into a focused set of options, so every choice matters more. All 60 of the new runes are free.
The new runes will fall into one of five categories, each one focused around a specific playstyle. These rune-types are:
Precision – Focus your attacks to deal even more damage
Precision is all about focusing down your oppenent, great for melting through a tank or otherwise beefy enemy’s defenses. An example of this is the “Press the Attack” rune, with which attacking the same champion grants endlessly stacking attack damage.
Domination – Pure over-all power
Want to bring the firepower? Get Domination runes to slam any foe into the dirt. The Predator rune adds an active effect to your boots that grants a large boost of movement speed and causes your next attack or spell to deal bonus damage.
Sorcery – Empowered abilities and more
Sorcery runes add a whole dimension to game-play, with such abilities like Summon Aerie – Your attacks and abilities send a helper named Aerie to a target, damaging enemies or shielding allies.
Resolve – Staying in the fight through defensive durability
Be the tank you were born to be by utilizing resolve runes to the fullest. be the protector of your team with the guardian ability – Right-clicking on an allied champion grants you both a shield, whih may seem simple, but can be exactly what you need in a pinch!
Inspiration – Break the rules!
Last but not least, inspiration throws the game on it’s head, with certain runes even allowing you to change summoner spells mid-game!
While these runes are amazing, it’s worth keeping note that they’re only a work in progress currently, so getting your sights set on a particular rune may not work out well.
