Doomfist Punches His Way Into Overwatch!
Get ready for a fistful of fun, as the criminal organisation Talon’s commander Doomfist has smashed his way out of jail and on to the Overwatch Public Test Realm!
Doomfist was once the heir of a well-regarded Nigerian family. After a series of personal tragedies following the Omnic Crisis, including the loss of his arm. Following cyborg-ization, he had lost much of his former life, no longer enjoying life as he once did. Decades later and mentoring by the previous wielder of the Doomfist gauntlet (and a slight murdering of said mentor to take the gauntlet for himself), Doomfist lives and believes in one rule:
“Only through conflict do we evolve.”
Doomfist is all about getting in and smashing faces, with his abilities granting him a short-term shield to keep him from being blown away.
His cybernetics make him a highly-mobile, powerful frontline fighter. In addition to dealing ranged damage with his Hand Cannon, Doomfist can slam the ground, knock enemies into the air and off balance, or charge into the fray with his Rocket Punch. When facing a tightly packed group, Doomfist leaps out of view, then crashes down to earth with a spectacular Meteor Strike.
Mouse-Click: HAND CANNON
Doomfist fires a short-range burst from the knuckles of his fist. Its ammunition is automatically regenerated over a short time.
E- SEISMIC SLAM
Doomfist leaps forward and smashes into the ground, knocking nearby enemies toward him.
Shift – RISING UPPERCUT
Doomfist uppercuts enemies in front of him into the air.
Right-Click ROCKET PUNCH
After charging up, Doomfist lunges forward and knocks an enemy back, dealing additional damage if they impact a wall.
While he is amazing for diving in and clearing clumps of enemies, his lack of escape options leave him wide open to be annihilated by close range characters such as Reinhardt or Roadhog. Expect it to be a few weeks until he’s really mastered by the community.
